This was submitted to the iyfic_contest LJ group for their prompt "Independence". I really like how this one came together with the characterizations - everyone just seemed to work well together so I walked away a happy camper. Author's Comments: I wrote this as a giftfic for LuxKen27, one of my favourite writers in the Inuyasha fandom. Her only stipulation was that she wanted a romantic snapshot of daily life for her favourite pairing and this is what I was able to come up with - an intimate morning scene that conveys their mutual love for each other without any words needing to be spoken. My Sanctuary was nominated for a Dokuga Award in the 2nd Q 2009 and took home second place for Best Oneshot.

Author's Comments: I wrote this for the IYFIC weekly drabble contest on LJ. The theme we had to explore was "Baggage". After the end of the manga I really wanted to write a piece that explored the emotional struggle Inuyasha and Kagome must have gone through during their three year forced separation. I hope that came across in this piece. This one ended up winning first place for the challenge.

I intentionally left the pairing open to interpretation, but I saw both Inuyasha/Kagome and Sess/Rin at different parts. Though I heard some interesting variants - Miroku Jaken? This one ended up winning third place for that week.

I thought up this particular idea while riding my bike home from the library late one night. It was obvious to me that Oniguomo loved Kikyou in his own twisted way, so I wanted to delve into his mind to explore that a bit. This one ended up winning first place for that week.

Author's Comments: I wrote this for the IYFIC weekly drabble contest on LJ. The theme we had to explore was "Power". I'm not sure why I settled on Tenseiga. It occurred to me that everything that ended up being important to Sesshomaru was a direct result of that sword's power and his decision to bend to its will. The drabble turned out pretty good, I think, and won first place that week.
